Start saving your credits- Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser opens on March 1st, 2022! If you’re hoping to book a trip to space, the cost is quite high for the two-night voyage on the new Star Wars hotel, the Halcyon.

The Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser- also known as the Star Wars hotel and the Halcyon (the name of the ship)- is the first of its kind immersive hotel experience for Disney. Located in Walt Disney World outside of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the new Star Wars hotel is a cruise-like experience with interactive timelines, activities, dining, and immersive theater entertainment experiences. While you’re on the Halcyon, choices you make will affect your own itinerary and quests as well as the overall story, and you’re welcome to engage as much or as little as you want.

We’ll be sharing everything that’s included in the cost, pricing, how to book a trip, and how to plan for your trip before you arrive in this post. If you’re looking for more information about the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser, check out this page with everything we know so far- as always, we’ll be updating as more information becomes available!

What’s Included in the Cost

Every voyage on the Halcyon is a two-night stay- there isn’t any option to stay for less or more time. The cost is all-inclusive, which means you’ll pay a flat rate price to stay with amenities, food, entertainment, and activities included in the price. Here’s everything currently listed as included in the cost of a stay at the Galactic Starcruiser:

  • Two night stay at a cabin or suite on the Halcyon

  • Immersive and interactive entertainment, activities, and environment where your choices determine your experience

  • Food and beverages on the Starcruiser (not including alcoholic and speciality beverages) and a quick service meal at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo in Batuu or other select locations in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

  • Admission to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for your planetary excursion to Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge

  • Walk-on access to Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance in Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge

  • Valet parking

  • Exclusive Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser databand (aka MagicBand)

Tips are included for food service in the cost of the vacation package but aren’t included for any optional gratuities for valet parking, cabin or suite cleaning, or any other services where optional or additional tips are customary. If you want to add a tip for any optional gratuities, you’ll want to tip at time of service if you wish to do so- there’s no way to add gratuity at the end of your trip like on a cruise.

Sample Pricing

At this time, Disney has only revealed one set of sample prices for the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser. The sample pricing is for weeknight voyage departures in August and September and is for the standard cabin room only (for more information about room options, see this post). Speculatively, the sample pricing appears to be the lowest cost the rooms will be until at least September 2022- availability is only currently open until the end of September. Early months and weekends will be more expensive.

Additionally, while Disney has an availability calendar online, the only way to confirm availability and pricing is to call to book.

The sample prices provided for a standard cabin room on weekdays in August and September are:

  • 2 Guests per Cabin – $1209 per guest per night; $4809 voyage total

  • 3 Guests per Cabin (2 adults, 1 child) – $889 per guest per night; $5299 voyage total

  • 4 Guests per Cabin (3 adults, 1 child) – $749 per guest per night; $5999 voyage total

If you plan to stay on the Galactic Starcruiser solo, you will be charged the same total package price as two adults staying in a cabin.

There is also the option to pay for your voyage on the Halcyon with Disney Vacation Club (DVC) points. For more information on the cost and more, check out this post. DVC also has a points chart available showing how much a stay would cost in points, which is a somewhat good indicator of higher cost and lower cost times to visit. We used this chart, additional cost information, and math to cost out the experience and speculate the prices throughout the year- check out that post here!

How to Book

To book a stay on the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser, you have to call to make a reservation. At this time, there isn’t any way to book online. Bookings are only available currently through September 30th, 2022. At this time, March and June 2022 are completely booked and there is limited availability in May, but all other months have open availability. The number to call to book is: 407-939-1800 and the reservation line is open from 7AM to 11PM EST.

Disney suggests you have some information available before you call to book. You’ll want to have voyage dates picked with alternative date options. While there is an online availability calendar, information isn’t always up-to-date, and the date will show available even if there’s only one cabin left. You’ll also need to provide the number of people in your party as well as their names, ages, addresses, and contact numbers. When you book you’ll be able to set your preference for first or second dinner seating and request if you’d like to book any additional cost activities.

Before You Arrive

You’ve booked your space voyage- now you have to get ready for your trip! You’ll want to make sure your reservation is linked to your Disney account in the My Disney Experience app and that all guest names are confirmed for your new databand (aka exclusive MagicBand). Online check-in is also available to expedite boarding at the departure terminal. If you decide after you book that you’d like to add additional activities to your voyage, you’ll have to call your “Galactic Starcruiser Specialist” to add them to your reservation.

You’ll also want to download the Play Disney Parks app to access the Star Wars Datapad. For a voyage on the Galactic Starcruiser, you’ll be using the Play Disney app rather than My Disney Experience, as the Play Disney app will have your itinerary details 30 days before your voyage as well as interactive features while on the Halcyon.

Once you’ve finished all the logistical to-do’s before your trip, you get to plan the fun things- what you want to wear on the voyage! Costumes ARE allowed while on the Halcyon, though there are some rules. You’re welcome to dress up as much or as little as you want for your trip to a Galaxy Far Far Away.

Departure Day

Galactic Starcruiser voyages leave from the departure terminal the day of your trip between 1PM and 4PM. The last transport pod leaves at 4PM, so you want to make sure to arrive early so you don’t miss the pod to space!

The address for the terminal is:

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Terminal
201 South Studio Drive
Bay Lake, Florida 32830

The new hotel can also be viewed on the map in the My Disney Experience app.
