Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is returning this Halloween season at Walt Disney World! Running for 38 nights, the Halloween party at Magic Kingdom will take place on select dates from August 9th to October 31st from 7pm to midnight.

Disney Parks Blog announced the return of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party during the Halfway to Halloween event on May 6th. Guests are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes and enjoy event-exclusive entertainment, spooky decor, rides and attractions - including a few with Halloween overlays, delicious sweets and treats, trick-or-treating, special Disney character appearances, photo opportunities, exclusive merchandise, and more.

New additions to the party this year include Mickey and Minnie Mouse in new neon spiderweb outfits for their meet and greet and more villains around Magic Kingdom. For the first time during the party, Bruno will be meeting alongside Mirabel at their Encanto Casita in Fairytale Garden. There will be a new dance party at Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland, the DescenDANCE Party, inspired by the upcoming Disney Original Movie Descendants: The Rise of Red. Additionally, the first performance of Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade will start an hour earlier than in years past at 8:15pm with the second showing remaining at 11:15pm as in years past. We will be sure to update here with any new and exciting news over the next few months!

MNSSHP is my favorite event of the year! We will have a video guide closer to the event, once the food guide is available, as well as our vlog from the party in mid-August. Check out our video guide and vlog from 2023 - not too much seems to be changing this year - and keep scrolling down for all the details!

Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular

Anything can happen at Halloween! Jack Skellington (Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas) will be hosting the Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular this year at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. The fireworks display will begin at 10PM above Cinderella Castle and features projections, lasers, lighting and special effects, fireworks, music, and favorite Disney characters. Jack Skellington narrates the show as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy find themselves at a mysterious haunted house full of Disney villains, skeletons from Silly Symphonies - The Skeleton Dance short, Haunted Mansion ghosts, and more. The Pumpkin King-hosted fireworks show is exclusive to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular

The Sanderson Sisters return to throw a Halloween party at Magic Kingdom on the Cinderella Castle stage with the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular! Disney Characters

Disney characters will be around Magic Kingdom for meet and greets and photo opportunities in their Halloween costumes. In the past, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has also seen some exclusive and rare characters - we will update here with more information once it becomes available!

This year, Mickey and Minnie Mouse will have brand new neon spiderweb outfits for their meet and greet. More villains will be around Magic Kingdom. Disney Parks Blog says you may “get to take a selfie with them” so this could be more of a distanced experience or they might be moving around rather than being in a set location, or they could have tradition meet and greets. Additionally, Bruno will be meeting for the first time during the party alongside Mirabel at their Encanto Casita in Fairytale Garden.

Attractions

Many attractions will be open during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! A few will even have Halloween-themed event overlays, including Space Mountain, Mad Tea Party, and Monsters, Inc.
